FAQs

What is included in the Costa Rican Adventure trip?

The trip typically includes accommodations, guided tours, transportation between destinations, most meals, and activities such as zip-lining, rafting, and wildlife excursions. Specific inclusions can vary, so it's best to review the detailed itinerary or contact the company for exact details.

What level of physical fitness is required?

The activities involve moderate physical activity, including hiking, rafting, and zip-lining. Participants should have a reasonable level of fitness and be prepared for outdoor adventures. If you have any health concerns, consult with the trip organizers beforehand.

Are there any travel requirements or visas needed?

U.S. and many other travelers do not need a visa for stays of up to 90 days in Costa Rica. A valid passport is required, and travelers should check current entry requirements related to health or other regulations before departure.

What should I pack for the trip?

Pack lightweight, quick-drying clothing, sturdy hiking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, a camera, and any personal medications. Also, bring a reusable water bottle, swimsuit, and rain gear, as weather can vary.

Is travel insurance necessary?

Yes, it’s highly recommended to have travel insurance that covers trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and adventure activities. Check with your provider to ensure coverage for outdoor adventure trips in Costa Rica.

Travel insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory for all our adventures and you’ll need to share your policy details before departure. Your cover must include overseas medical treatment, emergency evacuation/repatriation, baggage and equipment, plus all the activities in your itinerary.

We also strongly recommend cancellation and curtailment cover in case illness or other unforeseen events prevent you from travelling.

Standard policies often exclude adventure activities, so please check the fine print. Many travelers choose World Nomads for adventure, focused protection, select the policy that fits your needs and fully covers your trip.
